Continuing Education Rooted in Community

At the UpWell Institute for Reproductive Psychiatry, education is an act of connection and self-care. This work can feel heavy and isolating, and we believe clinicians deserve spaces where learning is shared, relationships are nurtured, and true community is built.

Our offerings bring together multidisciplinary, perinatal-focused clinicians to learn side by side — creating opportunities for collaboration, mutual support, and meaningful professional relationships. Our hope is that through learning together, you find teammates, not just information — so no one carries this work alone.

Expert Perinatal & Reproductive Psychiatry Consultation With Megan Sapp, CNM, PMHNP, FNP

Caring for patients in the perinatal and reproductive window can be deeply meaningful—and uniquely complex. When questions arise, having access to a trusted, experienced colleague can make all the difference.

Our provider-to-provider consultation service offers clinicians the opportunity to connect directly with Megan Sapp, an expert in reproductive and perinatal mental health, for thoughtful, evidence-based guidance on real clinical cases.

Who This Is For:

This service is designed for clinicians who are supporting patients through:

  • Preconception planning and psychiatric medication considerations
  • Pregnancy and postpartum mental health
  • Perimenopause and hormonal mood changes
  • Complex diagnostic or medication questions
  • Situations where an added layer of clinical perspective would be helpful

We work with psychiatrists, primary care providers, OB/GYNs, midwives, nurse practitioners, and therapists seeking collaborative support.

What to Expect

Consultations are structured, practical, and grounded in real-world clinical care.

During your session, Megan will:

  • Review your case and clinical questions in depth
  • Offer evidence-based recommendations tailored to your patient
  • Share nuanced considerations specific to reproductive psychiatry
  • Help you think through risk/benefit decisions with clarity
  • Provide guidance you can directly apply in your practice
Our goal is not only to help you get clarity on your case, but to help you build your skills and confidence in your clinical judgment.

Why UpWell Institute

At the UpWell Institute for Reproductive Psychiatry, we believe that expanding access to high-quality perinatal mental health care starts with supporting the clinicians doing the work.
This consultation service is part of our broader mission to:
  • Strengthen clinical confidence in reproductive psychiatry
  • Improve access to specialized care across the Pacific Northwest and beyond
  • Foster connection and collaboration among clinicians
